"I've never been much of a mobile gamer, but, forget everything you think you know about mobile games because Raid Shadow Legends is one of the most ambitious RPG projects of 2019 has just been released and will change everything. Just look at the level of detail of these characters! If you use the code in the description you can start with 50,000 silver and join the Special Launch Tournament, and you better hurry because it's getting big fast! You can play for totally free with the link below on your smartphone." We all know the words; for some of us, they've been fused to our brains like a like a tiny parasite.
Marketed as "the most ambitious RPG mobile game ever," RAID: Shadow Legends has gained a certain popularity over the past few weeks. Is it because it is truly what it states? God no. While is does have extremely well-made models, and pretty good graphics, it usually bugs out. It also causes many players' phones to overheat. Issues arising with the game have also come about, like not actually being able to use any of the sponsors' codes in-game to collect that free 50,000 silver. (and in most cases, a new EPIC champion) However, that isn't to say Raid hasn't become popular. In many a meme, Raid has shown up taking over comic bubbles and other text parts. An example of this is the Trump "What if I was your child" meme. The child says the title, and Trump responds with "Raid... Shadow Legends..." The game itself isn't that exciting. It's just another RPG with orcs, elves, and other classic species with the stereotypical perks, quirks, and alignments. The orc is a fighter, the elf is an archer. In conclusion:

In my last post, I talked about why 3ds Max is a buggy, almost nonworking application on the school computers. I mostly remained on the bugs and stuff like that. This time, at the end of the quarter, I'm going to reflect on what constitutes that wackness that still remains today.
I can'f finish my work. I've been trying to get caught up since last decade, and I only have a week to do something that will take me two. Render times are a big part of this. Media Encoder sucks, rendering itself as an .AVI in 3ds max takes longer than it does to print out every single frame on the copier in the LMC. On top of that, I still haven't done the particles assignment, so I can't even get full credit on the project. I understand that I get distracted easily, but this workload is still really heavy. Sometimes the videos are blocked by the school. It's hell when the tutorial that the teacher says is the best for the assignment doesn't work. Other students in my class period have to do some of the work at home to get it done, and while I would love to do that, my computer does not quite load it. The GPU is frying (it is old and slightly malfunctioning) and the whole computer therefore crashes when it loads something too big. I love this class. I don't talk a lot in my other ones, but it seems so much easier when I actually have people that are just as weird, if not weirder, who actually care what I have to say and that I can feel comfortable around. I really like doing stuff on 3ds Max. Like the Froghemoth mouth-bot. But, I feel like I'm not getting in the best work to the best of my abilities while doing the class. I feel that if it were at all possible to do so, it would be easier if we had better supplies and equipment. In conclusion:
Honestly, last year 3ds Max and 3d modeling were my favorite parts of the course. This year, htings have gotten cooler, but it's also gotten worse in some regards.
First of all, it's a heck-of-a-lot more buggy. Last year, there would be the occasional hick-up in the software. Maybe something doesn't render correctly, or maybe 3ds max would take a lot more time to open up, but it would be less common than it is now. Take, for example, last week's rendering screw-up. Everyone's computers bugged out and the quality of the render was set much lower than usual. And, specifically for me, half the times I try to open the program, it starts loading, with that little screen showing its progress, but crashes after a few minutes. This sets back my work by a lot, but its partially manageable. Another reason it's pretty crazy is that it is kind of hard to apply certain textures to certain objects. It's time consuming to have to assign a different part of a material to every single polygon. And since we have only 50-minute school days, that's nearly impossible to do. Of course, I didn't realize we didn't have to texture each window, door, and roof separately on the "Won't You Be My Neighbor" project, so I tried to do just that. I found out that I would have to apply each polygon in the object a different material node, and apply each separately afterwards. I think that it would be much easier if I were able to just select the polygon I wanted within the object and apply the material straight from there. However, I know that this is probably a very difficult feature to have, but I think that it would be extremely helpful. This year so far has been pretty fun, and I have enjoyed about 9/10 of the work, minus the organic sketches. I look forward to most of the year to come and I hope we get to continue doing fun things like the Wild West city from the 1st quarter. In conclusion:
Thanks for reading, and make sure to check your pipes for leaks! Video games have been a very prominent part of our culture for a while. With these times of development and advancement in the gaming industry, there have always been some... mistakes. One of the earliest examples of a video game that should not exist is the E.T. game for Atari 2600, released in December of 1982. This game was so bad that all the unsold (and some of the sold) copies of the game were literally made into their own landfill. Another, being the subject of today's blog, is the absolute plague of Fortnite. This game, released on July 25, 2017, is the epitome of capitalism. Now, I am a fan of battle-royale games, and I'm not saying that games like PUBG or its mobile counterpart are any better, however the recent events going down with Fortnite specifically makes it deserve its own post. First, let's just say this. The game itself is free. However, with most free-to-play games, this comes at a certain, no pun intended, cost. V-bucks, the game's in-game currency, are wildly overpriced. (However, it is nowhere near the atrocities of the ruby cost in Mario Kart World Tour.) V-bucks are used to buy things like skins, dance moves, and different pickaxes. The demographic for this game, with its flashy screens and very cartoony atmosphere, is meant for much younger kids. Younger kids will obviously want these skins and other cosmetics, and beg their parents for them. This leads to many wasted dollars just to get a banana outfit. Not only that, but some children who didn't get their way have stolen their parents' credit cards and gotten their fixes that way.
An error eventually found its way into Fortnite's "perfect" record when the accounts that were being created were left extremely vulnerable. This lead to many microphones being hacked and the players eaves-dropped on. Here are some links to find more information on this. https://www.adweek.com/digital/millions-of-fortnite-users-were-vulnerable-to-hacking-researchers-say/ The lead developer, , claims that this accident has been eradicated. However, unless we can make sure, I myself do not trust Fortnite, or truly Epic Games as a whole. Now, people may be wondering why Epic Games would leave accounts so vulnerable to being hacked. There are two possible theories that actually make sense. Theory number one: it was completely accidental. While this should not have happened at all by any means, everyone makes mistakes. Take the initial creation of the game, for example. However, theory number two is that it was on purpose. It should seem obvious why the company would have not provided security in the form of strong, fire-walled accounts: money. They could have been trying to save money, and by not spending it to create secure accounts for players, budgets can be maximized. Of course, this should be taken as a grain of salt. We may never know why this actually happened, but we will know if or when it happens again. In conclusion, Fortnite is a cash scheme used for nothing but cash. Its horrible currency system and rewards, on top of its lack of online reliability, make it an almost complete waste of time and profit. This is why Fortnite should be deleted. I was told I would hate rigging. I was not told, however, that I would hate the simple little hell that is my computer trying to handle ProBoolian. I have nothing but hatred for it. That's not true, I think it's cool the result, but getting there is complete torture. First off, I know we are getting new computers, but JESUS CHRIST are these slower than my grandmother trying to go down stairs. But of course, I am legally inclined to provide evidence, so let's start with the fact that half the time I'm unable to actually select the ProBoolian option. When I select an item to start doing that, the option goes dark and I just can't pick it. Other times, it screws up and just destroys itself and opens up a new tab of itself, which freezes the entire thing and causes a lot confusion. Think of it like this: You have a job as a cook for your tribe, and one day you walk into the cooking hut, put down your pot into the pot-stand, and turn to grab the ingredients. When you turn back, your pot has disappeared, and left in its wake, a smaller, incomplete- looking pot.You think that this is your pot and you had just... not seen it before, yet look around, to no avail, to find your pot, but settle on making this one look more complete to use for cooking. Now forget that, and just think of it as another "tab" being opened up, with the same thing as you were just doing, except less done. Another issue is that sometimes when you select another picker, such as going from Union to Subtraction, as soon as you start picking stuff it just changes back to Union and you don;t realize it because you believe in the solidarity of the technology. Except it's not solid at all, and is prone to bugging out and making a spoon look like it had been ran over by spiked tank-treads.
In conclusion:
Thanks for reading, and install a carbon-monoxide detector! You won't find it here, but some of these kids have talent. Recently, I was given an assignment to create a cover letter, resume, and portfolio work for a mock interview coming up, the theme being centered around digital design, obviously. And as I sit here. at 12 in the morning, with a lack of sleep after a camp out, I wonder if I really did improve on my portfolio work. The answer is no. I need to update my portfolio, possibly add a new tab onto it specifically for the interview. I chose the storyboard creator for Dreamworks TV, so my job is easy, and all I have to do is create a few storyboards and dig up some old ones from my old drawing folders. However, the real challenge is choosing how to improve upon my... questionable skill in everything in this class, other than "B." I'm not sure that I will be able to create a sufficient portfolio, and that's what scares me. This is the most crucial part of my entire assignment. This is ultimately what will make or break my grade. As said right below the title of the article "Your Game Portfolio is Your Greatest Asset," "A game design education is nothing without a portfolio to show employers." Storyboarders have somewhat easy jobs. They are allowed to really let their creativity flow when creating a scene. Rough sketches get the point across of what is supposed to go on. I think that this role would be perfect, since I'm not the best at drawing and I have a... very active imagination.
In conclusion:
Thanks for reading, and check for mold in the attic every couple of weeks When creating this, I was dumb, and instead of checking to make sure the due date, I decided to just wait. Sorry, but I really hope there are late grades. Anyway, here is the image I'm talking about tonight "City Life"
I created this piece thinking it would just look nice, and then I thought I would go a step higher and bring up Climate Change. The purple buildings, getting brighter as they get closer, contrast with the background and the buildings behind. There is a green, polluted smoke which nicely accent the buildings. I used simplification, not adding too much detail to the buildings and smoke, to make it more pleasing to the eyes, overall creating a smooth looking product. The sarcastic comment in the bottom left saying "City Life, the Best Life.".I guess this is meant to say that, well, it's not, not by a long shot. I hate to say it, but we truly are ruining the earth. I think that this piece is meant to bring that up. I would say that it does capture this fact in a pretty good way. Inc conclusion:
Thanks for reading, and check your outlets for faulty wiring! Heya! It's been a couple months. I've been busy, and lazy, but mostly lazy. But I'm here now.Anyway, I made "art." Due to the absolute humor of the popular show "The Simpsons," I have created this. Using techniques such as contrast, between the black text and the white background, as well as the simplification of the background, keeping it white as to keep it less distracting for the viewer, I have created quite possibly, the worst thing possible on Paint 3D, however the best thing I could create before it crashed. The process was simple. First, I did the framework with my sister's old beat up drawing tablet, and then filled in the face with yellow using the paint bucket tool. I then created, using the shape tool, two circles for each head and set the "fill" to white. Finally, I took the pencil and did a single dot in each eye to make the tiny pupils, and then created the text boxes.
Thanks or reading, and check your water heater every year! This year has been a constant uphill climb with 2 tons of stone on my back and a constant headache. But, it's been a fun struggle, mostly. DDA I was probably one of my favorite classes this year, mostly because I just messed around making memes and stuff instead of doing my work. I mean, don't get me wrong, I did most of my work, but still. I think I needed to concentrate more, and I'll definitely take that into next year. I'm like an experiment. I need to be tested before I advance. So, DDA I was the test, and DDA II is the advancement. But DDA II will become the test, and GAD will become the advancement, and so on, and so on, until I die. I think one of the major points I learned this year, aside from how to do special things on the big shiny screen, was that I need more patience. This year, I was so impatient and wanted to get things done so fast that I sped through things and made them GOD AWFUL. Take the monster animation for example. It looks like a 5 YEAR OLD dropped a box of CRAYONS on the lawn and after they melted in the heat, my monster animation showed up. In all seriousness, I loathed Adobe Animate. It was stupid, buggy, and constantly screwing literally EVERYTHING UP. Let's just make a simple square move up at the same time as this oval. NOPE, you get PULSATING DIAMONDS, like when you press on your eyes for too long. The sheer amount of brokenness that followed trying to don anything astounded me. A tiny, minuscule error didn't bother me too much, but when every single move of something made the screen turn into the Porygon episode of the original Pokemon anime, I will admit, it makes me a little angry. I couldn't care less that Animate/Flash is ending, because it will almost do us all a favor. My worst unit by far was video editing. It took me way too long to get them done, and when I did, I didn't make them well enough. I believe that I got much better when it came down to editing the original Bandanna Dan video; but then it glitched out and I had to create a new edit for it. Another thing I learned, never trust the machines. They are out to get you. They want BLOOD. In reality, they're probably just doing the best they can, but their best is not good enough for me. I need to be able to work without the equivalent of Pulsating Diamonds taking over every application. Finally, I need to learn to follow the directions better, the biggest lesson I learned this year. I probably need to rap this up. so I'll include an abbreviated summary. For the last time this year, "In Conclusion"
